Reporting a problem? Include your device model, the OS version, the app version from Settings, and what the app was playing when it went wrong. That is almost always enough to reproduce it.

Getting video onto the glasses

DV-KV Player drives glasses that accept video over USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode. Plug them in before starting playback; the app detects the second display and routes video to it automatically, keeping the controls on the phone.

Nothing on the lenses? Check the cable. Many USB-C cables carry power and data but not video — you need a full-featured one.
Some phones only expose DisplayPort on specific ports or need "video out" enabled in system settings.
Without glasses attached, the app still runs and plays to the phone screen. That is normal and is how you can evaluate everything except the second display.

Playing a network stream

Open Network Streams and enter the address. HLS (.m3u8), DASH, RTSP, direct HTTP, UDP/MPEG-TS, RTMP and SRT are supported. If a stream will not start, try it in another player first to confirm the source is live — most failures are the source, not the app. Streams you save stay on the device.

NDI and OMT sources are not appearing

The device and the source must be on the same local network, and that network must allow multicast. Guest and "client isolation" Wi-Fi networks block discovery.
On iOS, allow the Local Network permission when prompted. If it was denied, re-enable it in the system Settings for DV-KV Player — iOS will not ask twice.
An empty list on a network with no sources is expected behaviour, not an error.

The admin panel

The admin panel is opened from Settings and is protected by a password that is stored only on the device. It re-locks every time the app launches, so a device can be handed to someone else safely. The password is a local device lock — it is not an account, there is no server, and there is no recovery. If it is lost, clear the app's data (Android) or reinstall (iOS) to return to defaults, then restore your configuration from a backup.

Backups, restore and Fleet Push

Settings contains a full backup of branding, settings, saved streams and playlists as a single file. A safety snapshot is taken automatically before any restore. Fleet Push sends that same configuration to other DV-KV devices discovered on your local network, which is the fastest way to set up several devices for an event.

Android and iOS differences

The two versions ship together at the same version number and are built to mirror one another. Where a platform genuinely cannot do something, the app says so on screen rather than hiding the feature. NDI, OMT and second-display behaviour depend on what each platform exposes to apps.
